Welcome to PFI and the weekly updates – The Sniper Site Edition. Just this past week, my friend Dusty over at Chasing The Bull started posting daily updates about his passive income status. He is doing this to hold himself accountable and stay on track with his empire creation. I think this is a great idea and look forward to staying up to date on his status.
One of the passive income streams that Dusty is working to build are sniper sites. Basically, he is working to build small niche blogs that have low competition where he can rank on the top page of search engine results for a few keywords geared towards each site. Provided he can generate positive cash flow from each of these sites, I think this is a decent way to build passive income.
Do you think building small sniper niche sites is a good way to build passive income?

Wow, thanks. It’s good to know someone is enjoying them:) I think the niche sites idea is great, with one caveat: you still have to make sure you’re interested in the topic(s) otherwise it’s hard to keep them up. I learned that. I tried with one, but after two weeks the topic bored me to tears. I didn’t think that would matter, but for me, it did.

@MoneyEnergy – Agreed. Picking topics that you have no interest in are doomed to fail.

Thanks for link. It is truly appreciated.
If nothing else creating these Sniper sites should help me get better at keyword research. Currently, I plan on selecting only niches that I am somewhat interested in, otherwise I probably could not write 5 articles on the subject. I could never write articles on acne or something like, even if it did make money.
