Welcome to PFI and the weekly updates – The Blog Carnival Edition. Well it was a very busy week as I hosted my first and second blog carnivals ever! One of my personal finance goals for 2009 was to host at least two carnivals.

I had originally signed up to host the 66th Edition of the Money Hacks Carnival several weeks ago. This carnival post went live this past Wednesday with over 50 posts included. I must say that it was a little time consuming reading through all of the great posts and putting it all together. Despite all the time, it was well worth it.

I was also asked to host the 9th Edition of the Carnival of Pecuniary Delights earlier this week to fill in for the scheduled host who could not do it. I was skeptical at first with my time being devoted to the Money Hacks Carnival. I was very pleased with the ease of this carnival and am a big fan of it. It is setup a little different than most other carnivals as you can submit posts that are years old. They just need to be long lasting and relate to personal finance or frugal living.

Personal Finance Blog of the Week
Because of the busy week, I am not posting the personal finance blog of the week. Tune in next week for our latest entry.

Carnivals
I participated in the following carnivals over the past week. Please check out some of the great reads from these carnival!

Articles I liked
Here are a couple articles I enjoyed over the past week. Please check them out and enjoy.

1Frugal Dad provides us with several summer activities for kids. Having two young boys, I think we will make use of some of these great tips this summer.

2The Simple Dollar breaks down surcharges and 10 products to watch out for at the grocery store.

3Moolanomy writes about ways to teach your children about money. Having children, I often think about this same thing.

4The Almost Millionaire writes about being afraid to start a business which is mostly caused by fear.

Have an wonderful week!
