Some great points there.
Trying to stay focused on the task in hand whilst doing research for content is one thing I find difficult. You come across something interesting and off you go on a tangent!

Hey you missed an error. It is turn "off" the tv not turn "of" the tv. Great article though.

Some excellent points here, even if I did find your post while trawling through twitter! Yes I make several of these mistakes, such as answering email as it arrives and endless multi-tasking. To be fair sometimes multi-tasking is brilliant when you are able to get the computer to do work in the background for example, but most of the time it just leads to confusion and a sense of frustration.

The go for a run idea is a great one! But I wish I could limit myself to checking email on twice a day... ahhh I check it all the time! Then again I have many people emailing me that expect prompt replies. But I do think I need to break the cycle by not checking so frequently.

I find a great way to focus on my writing is to literally set a timer and write until that timer's up. Works very well!
