Welcome to Passive Family Income (PFI) and the weekly updates. PFI had another good week by continuing to add new readers to the site and attracting more pageviews. Thanks to all of the readers who are now following my blog and for their participation. It really helps to keep me motivated to see excellent comments coming in and to understand that there are people out there with the same frugal habits! Here are some of the updates and highlights for the past week.

- June 26, 2008 – I was a first time participant in the Money Hacks Carnival #18 — The History Of Money! hosted by My Investing Blog. I would like to thank My Investing Blog for including my post – Creating a Family Budget in the Carnival.
- June 26, 2008 – I was also a first time participant in the Finance Fiesta 4: Cerveza Edition hosted by Pinching Copper. I would like to thank Pinching Copper for including my post – Tips on How to Borrow Money using Prosper in the Carnival.
Changes to the Site
There were no major changes to the site to report this week. I have been making a few minor tweaks here and there and have also experimented with different types of advertisements. While I didn’t start this site to become rich, having a little extra income generated from the site goes a long way to help motivate me. I have started to experiment with Widget Bucks and PayPerPost and have mixed results at this point. I will provide details in future posts on my experience with these advertisers.
Articles I liked
I read many articles over the past week on other blogs, but here are a few that I liked the most.
1 – The Dividend Growth Investor discusses the price of investing in Canroys that have a high yield. I own one of the stocks he mentions in my portfolio.
2 – Dawn at Fighting Foreclosure discusses her opinions on what is considered passive and non-passive income.
3 – That One Caveman at One Caveman’s Journey has additional tips from his first post on how to cool your house for less this summer.
Have an excellent week!
