Building a passive income stream using eHow has become one of my most consistent and successful campaigns. While I believe it is important to recognize that ultimately I don’t have control over the future of eHow as a company, the earnings potential are too great to ignore. The parent company of eHow seems to be established in the market and here to stay for a long time. Therefore, I will continue to use this resource as a passive income tool while working to become financially independent!
Now let’s get to last month’s earnings and analysis.
eHow Dollars per Hour Earnings
During the past few months I have started posting an estimate of how much money I am earning per hour from eHow. Basically it is a breakdown of the dollars per hour earned, which overtime will show how powerful building passive income streams can be. For the purposes of this calculation, I estimate that it takes me approximately 20 minutes to write 1 eHow article based on my personal experience. I have seen other writers comment that it takes them anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour to write an article.
During May, I wrote a total of 14 articles which means I spent around 4.7 hours on building my eHow earnings. That means I earned $13.00 per hour for my efforts over the course of the month based on my total earnings documented below. My earnings per hour in April were $7.90, so I saw a huge increase in comparing the two months. I want to point out once again that these numbers show how powerful building passive income can be!
Are you looking for a free way to start increasing your income? If so, eHow is one option that allows you to accomplish this goal. There are people just like you earning over a $1,000 each month on a recurring basis just by writing “How To” articles. If you are new to eHow, one place to start is by checking out a great resource called – How to Earn Passive Income on eHow.com: Maximize Your Online Earnings. I purchased this resource several months ago and have made my money back within the first month using the guidelines laid out.
May Updates
The month of May proved to be somewhat of a down month for me on growing my eHow earnings. While I increased my passive income earnings by 5.7% compared with April, I only wrote 14 articles – which was way down. The number of posts that I submitted dropped mostly because of other projects and priorities that I am working on. I would like to point out that even though my output decreased by (36%) – I still grew my earnings.

Top 5 Money Earners for May
During each monthly review, I have been breaking down my top 5 money earning articles in an effort to identify current trends and patterns. Here are my top five money earners from May -
- How to Calculate Monthly Mortgage Payments – $5.55
- How to use Auto Loan Calculators – $4.20
- How to Find Monthly Dividend Stocks – $3.90
- How to Sell Covered Call Options – $3.10
- How to Find the Highest Paying Dividend Stocks – $2.49
The list of top money earning articles shows a consistent trend that continues each month as well as a new set of articles climbing to the top. Here is my breakdown of current trends for my articles.
- Investing Articles – Once again, 3 of my top 5 articles involved stocks or options trading. I don’t see this trend ending anytime soon. Regardless of what I plan to write each month, I always include a few stock market related posts as I know they will do well.
- Loan Articles – I saw a couple of my loan articles jump to the first 2 spots in monthly earnings. This is another category of posts that should do well over time and I plan on writing more of these in the coming months.
- Leveling Out – The other thing I noticed in my results from May was a leveling off of the top 5 money earners. The top 5 money earning articles for May accounted for 31% of my total earnings whereas in April they made up 39%. I believe this is significant as my earnings are starting to spread out now across more articles. In the past few months I had seen a lot of my earnings coming from newer articles. I am glad to see some of my articles that are several months old starting to tick up a little.
How are your eHow earnings looking these days? I would love to hear back from you on your results!

Congratulations on increasing your ehow income. It would be interesting to see how much you could earn from ehow if you stopped writing for one or two months. With blogs if you stopped posting, google might crawl you less often, possibly resulting in less traffic. I am wondering whether google pings EHOW articles per author or authogether..

I have been writing for Ehow for about a year and my earnings are steadily going up! I am no where near some of the top earners, but made $99 last month on about 169 articles! I have tried other writing sites and Ehow pays the best of them all. Even though we can not figure out that variables by which we are paid!
