Welcome to PFI and the Happy Birthday Edition! Passive Family Income is 6-months old today. Ironically, it is also my 35th birthday today, so I thought I would celebrate by taking some time to look back and reflect on the past 6 months. I originally started PFI back in April of this year to write about my family’s quest to become financially independent. The goal to reach this financial independence revolves around creating multiple forms of alternative income with the intention to make each new income stream as passive as possible. In an effort to create these new income streams, our family is practicing sound personal money management to try and reduce our expenses and live as frugal as possible. Any money that is saved from reducing our expenses can be put to work by purchasing assets that will generate additional cash flow. I have tried to include the status of our efforts along the way using this blog as a medium and will continue to do so in the future.
I thought I would post some mid year statistics for PFI so that I have a baseline to work from in the future. Below is a list of some totals that I have compiled. This data was collected using the Wordpress.com Stats plugin for the past 6 months.

The following list includes the Top 5 referrers to PFI over the past 6 months. I would like to thank everyone in the list as well as other sites that were not included in the Top 5 for sending traffic to my site. The referral totals were counted anytime someone clicked on a particular link from a site and were directed to PFI.
I also wanted to point out the following statistics and traffic that was generated to my site from a few social networks.
