@Owen - I believe that any business or source of income has the potential to become mostly hands off by the owner, including this one. If you run a sound business and can find the right people to manage it for you, it becomes more passive in nature. Then again you also need to be able to completely trust the people who manage it for you!

I will be sure to come by your site to check things out!

Great idea. I think it has tremendous potential but I am not sure it fits into a passive income opportunity even with outsourcing. It most certainly qualifies as a green business and has potential for anyone willing to put in some sweat equity. I would like to see the link to the original article if you would be willing to share it. I own Passive Residual Income dot com and recently did a report on a passive green program called Plug Into Green Profits. I also just launched a blog Green Business Opportunity Review Dot Com where you can see other Green Business Opportunities, Not all of them are passive but my top pick most certainly is.

great idea, but i view it as more secondary to current appropriate businesses. i am definately going to suggest it to my yard man. what a great service and a nominal fee for a "green service" added to our yard bill would be a welcome addition for our community as well as added income for him. he already has the truck and space in the truck to put the day's pick up. he also already has the staffing requirements. the only added expense would be the extra trips to the recycling center.
