eHow 100 Article Challenge – Week 2

The 2nd week of my 100 Article eHow Challenge has completed and it has been a productive one. I didn’t publish as many articles this week as I did last week, but I am still on track to hit my 100 mark! I also started to see a nice jump in my earnings from these new articles, which is even more motivation for me to keep moving along.

I am continuing to batch my articles and other related work to make the most efficient use of my time. This method is working well for me and I hope to transition it to bigger and better things once this challenge is over. In fact, it has worked so well for me I have started to think about ways I can batch some of my daily activities that are not passive income related. More to come on this in a future post!

Week #2 Updates

Here are my results from August 1, 2009 – August 14, 2009 -

Articles Published

  • Week #1 – 25
  • Week #2 – 20
  • Total – 45

Total Views & Earnings

  • Article Views – 680
  • Income Earned – $15.08

It is nice to see the increase of income from Week #1 to #2. I added 20 more articles during the week which accounted for the majority of the increase with the rest coming from the first week’s articles. Overall, I am excited to see where my earnings will be in 6 months as a result of this contest.

From $.80 to $8.00

August sure seems to have been a strange month with my eHow earnings. It sounds like I am not the only one who saw some really low earnings at the beginning of the month. However, within the past week I have seen my daily totals jump back up to where they were at the end of July.

Just to show you what kind of month it has been – the first day earnings for August totaled about $.80 for me. Now, a few days ago I had an earnings day of well over $8.00! This past week my earnings have been on a very nice steady rise and I am now back on track to reach my July totals.

eHow Writers

I wanted to point out a few fellow eHow writers this week who are busy building their passive income streams through this very useful tool.

  • Pat from Smart Passive Income created a page on his site to track eHow reports. I have plans to do the same in a few weeks, once my 100 article challenge is complete.
  • Jeremy from How to Make Money on eHow posted that he has made $1,000 in eHow earnings in less than 3 months!
  • Dusty from Chasing the Bull wrote about his first week’s results in the 100 Article eHow Challenge.

How are your eHow goals coming along? What about other forms of passive income?

How do you find your earnings by day? Are you just checking what your monthly total is every day and figuring out the daily earnings from that?

@Andy – It is just as you mention. I am an earnings addict and check it every afternoon to see how much of an increase I get each day. Those numbers are an estimate.

You are doing great my friend! Keep at it.

I need to get back on the wagon. I have way too many things going on right now. Thanks for the mention!

Sounds like you are doing well with your challenge! I also try to ‘batch’ my tasks when it comes to Hubpages, it definitely helps. Will look forward to reading about how you’ll apply this to other areas of your life.

@Web Career Girl – It is starting to get a little tough with my articles, but I think I can get it done! How is your HubPages challenge going?
