in Income Stream

Website Content

For those looking to build a solid set of diversified passive income streams, there are a ton of online tools and resources available today. Writing and submitting articles to Constant Content provides an author with the potential to earn a significant amount of income. This resource also allows online website publishers the opportunity to purchase these same articles under several different licensing agreements.

Constant Content prides itself as one of the largest and most comprehensive marketplaces to buy and sell website content. According to their submission guidelines, they have one of most rigorous screening and editorial processes in place today, which gives them an advantage over some of their competition. Unlike the hated eHow article sweeps, a writer using Constant Content knows if their material will be accepted upfront, as opposed to weeks or months later. They also provide clear submission guidelines which takes any confusion away from authors on what is acceptable. This screening process gives the site credibility that is not always found on these types of passive income sites.

Here are few interesting notes on the Constant Content model for interested authors or publishers.

Passive Income Model

Constant Content offers a different type of passive income model than a writer would see from HubPages or InfoBarrel. Instead of publishing revenue sharing articles, an author sells their content to publishers looking to purchase unique content. This type of earnings model is unique compared to it’s competition. Sites such as eHow pay their authors a portion of advertisement earnings based on the authors published content. Constant Content provides a different income model than traditional revenue sharing sites.

Here are the various licensing options that an author can choose to sell their content under.

  • Usage – For authors interested in earning passive income, this is the license that should be used. A Usage license allows the author to sell the article over and over to interested publishers.
  • Unique – Authors looking to earn a little more income from their content can use the Unique license. This type of license allows the publisher to purchase a unique article that can never be sold again. This license breaks away from the passive income model, but provides a higher amount of income.
  • Full Rights – The Full Rights license gives the publisher the opportunity to purchase a unique article that can be edited, changed, and even resold.

There are plenty of earnings opportunities available from Constant Content. Whether an author wants to build passive income or earn upfront money from their content, this site can provide resources and tools to make it happen.

Additional Features

Constant Content offers some additional opportunities to generate passive income other than writing. Photographs, images, and video can also be created by an author and sold for residual income which is another nice option to help diversify your income. Authors tired of writing can submit these other forms of web content that can help them diversify their income even further.

For those interested in earning income from something other than writing should check out Constant Content for more details.

Risks of the Constant Content Model

There are a few downsides or risks to the Constant Content model. First, there must be a market for an authors content, or there will be no earnings. While the same can be said for revenue sharing articles, it is probably more noticeable in this type of earnings model.

Secondly, there are some publishers who would prefer to buy only unique content. When this is the case, authors can only sell their material one time wiping out the passive income earnings model. There are some ways that authors can list their material under the usage license only, but the demand still needs to be there in order to earn income.

Finally, as with any site like this, the author is subject to the rules and guidelines of the tool they are using. In this case, Constant Content seems to have a legitimate and reputable marketplace that authors can leverage. However, at the end of the day, an author still does not fully control their earnings potential.

Final Thoughts

Constant Content offers a unique opportunity for authors to earn both passive income as well as onetime upfront earnings from their content. Selecting from one of three different types of licensing agreements, authors can pick from their preferred earnings model. The site also offers a nice opportunity for publishers to purchase high quality content (that is hard to find) that fits with their needs.

While there are a few associated risks involved with writing material for Constant Content, the potential cannot be ignored. Publishing content on this site is a great way to help diversify ones passive income earnings.

I am getting away from writing articles for others (sites not own by me) completely. In fact, I outsource about 90% of the articles I publish now.

I found myself working online as a way to create passive income but found the only thing I created was another job (which was NOT my original goal). Now I simply reinvest whatever I make each month, add sites when I can (I have over over 100 niche sites – NONE of which are adsense sites), and actually work online just a few hours a week.My goal is to completely replace myself (online) over the next 6 months and outsource everything!

I am interested as to whether ALL articles on Demand Studios offers $15 up front or did you have to really look for those…….

John, I have heard about Constant Content in passing but haven’t given it a try. If I return to the writing articles arena, I’ll definitely have to consider it (God knows there are plenty of such sites around!)

Thanks for the link to my site. I’ll just add that Constant Content is a great place to buy high quality articles too for your websites. It is truly no risk for the buyer. Either buy usage, or buy Unique or Full Rights and be assured of unique content.

From the writer’s perspective, you completely sets the prices on your work and you can change the price anytime want. The only pricing restriction is a minimum $7 asking price.

If you get tired of waiting for a sale you can always pull the article and use it yourself for revenue share or to build your own site.

I’ve submitted 3 articles to Constant Content thusfar and I’m still waiting for them to be approved. I hope they are soon so I can see how well the marketplace performs.

I love writing so I don’t consider it as a second job. It’s going to be so much better than to be paid the minuscule amount I was when I wrote for buyers on freelancer.

@Murlu – I have found it very frustrating waiting for my articles to get approved. I have two that have been rejected after waiting a week with very little feedback to tell me what is wrong. Hopefully it is just me!

@George – I am still waiting for my first few articles to get approved on Constant Content. I can respect the screening they do, but it is a bit frustrating to wait so long to get feedback.
