Welcome to PFI and the weekly updates. The markets continue their wide range of ups and downs. Are you a buyer or a seller right now? I am a cautious buyer at this point. I think the next several months can help to lay the foundation for some great buying opportunities that will generate passive income for years to come.
New Theme
If you haven’t noticed by now, PFI has a new theme! It took several weeks of searching and testing out different WordPress themes until I came across the Thesis WordPress Theme. I opted for actually paying for the rights to use this theme as it seemed to fit best with my long-term goals. There were many great free themes available, but none with the flexibility of Thesis WordPress Theme! I am still working on getting everything back up and running (i.e. PFI logo, etc.) so you will see some additional changes in the next couple of weeks. I am very excited about the SEO and customization capabilities of the new theme. I will provide some additional details on the theme in a future post, but it has a lean & clean feel to it.
Carnivals
September 22, 2008 - After taking several weeks off from participating in any carnivals, I had an article included in the Carnival of Personal Finance #171: Celebrate Fall Edition hosted by Sound Money Matters. I would like to thank Sound Money Matters for including my post - Create passive income from writing.
Articles I liked this week
Here are some of the articles I enjoyed reading over the past week -
1 - Dawn at Fighting Foreclosure posts a status on her first late prosper loan.
2 - LuLuGal at How I Save Money is adding a new page to her blog dedicated to her CVS weekly deals. I am interested to see how this turns out and may add a page to PFI in the future for the same purpose.
3 - Compounding Dividends provides an update on a competition going on to generate blog traffic. If you haven’t already done so, go and check it out. You could win up to $250!
Have an excellent week!

Once again I am happy to see that I influenced someone in a positive way. Who knew that me going a little nuts at CVS and then building up enough ECBs to never spend money out of pocket again would lead to this.
And I am not even a hard core CVSer!!!
Anyway if you do decide to add your own CVS page I hope it works out for you. I am thinking of adding some more detail to mine….but not sure what I will put on it just yet.

Great new layout. I like how your RSS feed is very visible on the top right.

The theme looks great! I am playing with some new things myself, but I am keeping them close to my vest… for now. We’ll see how long that lasts!! Ha!!
