Pay It Forward Award

by passivefamilyincome on September 10, 2008

One of my favorite PF bloggers recently nominated me for the “Pay it Forward” award. Dawn at Fighting Foreclosure was kind enough to include me in this award. I would like to thank Dawn for the nice words about PFI and encourage anyone who hasn’t visited her site to check it out!

The rules for this award are as follows:
1. Put the logo on your blog.
(Not as pretty as the leg lamp in The Christmas Story, but a close second!)

2. Add a link to the person who awarded it to you.
3. Nominate at least 5 other blogs (see below).
4. Add links to these blogs on your blog – don’t forget this step. This is great free advertising! (see below)
5. Leave a message for your award recipient on their blog.

Here are the 5 blogs that I would like to pass the award on to. Some of them may have already been nominated in the past, but I don’t think that matters.

The Passive Dad - One of my most visited blogs, The Passive Dad is an excellent site to get good ideas to generate passive income. Scott has a very clean and classy site with very interesting articles. I find a lot of excellent information and ideas from his site.

The Family CEO - This site is where I have found the inspiration for starting my latest passive income stream by writing articles on eHow. If you want some good advice and examples of using eHow to generate some extra income, then I suggest checking out The Family CEO blog for yourself!

Bible Money Matters - This is a wonderful site that has all sorts of great ideas on personal finance. The author of Bible Money Matters also has a few niche sites that I have talked about on PFI in the past. One of these sites is dedicated to designing logos for other websites at a very low cost. In fact, he designed the logo that you see here on PFI as well as the favicon. Having these niche sites is an excellent way to generate some alternative income and is an inspiration to me.

How I Save Money - This is one of the very first PF blogs that I came across when investigating the whole blogging world. LuLuGal’s How I Save Money site gave me the inspiration to help shape PFI and I thank her for her very helpful posts. I actually think I saw that LuLuGal had received this award in the past, but I don’t think there are any rules against receiving it again.

Fighting Foreclosure - After thoroughly reviewing the “Pay it Forward” rulebook, I didn’t see anything against giving the award back to the blogger that sent it to you. So, I am sending the award back to Dawn at Fighting Foreclosure who really deserves the recognition. As I mentioned above, Dawn’s site is one of my favorites! Her posts are down to earth and honest which I find to be very inspirational. There is no hype there. It is no-nonsense, day to day life which is what I can relate to. Thank you Dawn for your wonderful site!

Oh now you have me blushing. It is really amazing to me to see that I had a positive influence on another blogger by just writing about my daily struggle with my money. Wow.

Thanks for the award…yes I did get one before. :-)

Wow, it’s a major award! Thanks for the kind words. I would have loved the “fragile” leg lamp, but this award is still nice. You made my day.

Until recently, I never spent much time visiting blogs in the personal finance world, but it’s great to see what a supportive bunch they (you!) are. I’m finding lots of great blogs to read :)
