Joining a Social Network - SocialSpark

by passivefamilyincome on July 1, 2008

Passive Family Income (PFI) has now been up and running for over 2 months! During the first 2 months, I have researched and investigated several of the Social Networking sites available. I believe that Social Networking can be helpful in generating new readers to your blog and increase the number of pageviews and search engine rank of your site. I found (as most fellow bloggers have) that there are dozens and dozens of these Social Networking sites available. It could take days to sift through all of the different possibilities available to promote your blog.

After spending a lot of time researching these Social Networking sites, I decided to sign-up with SocialSpark. I liked that they offered a networking forum to promote your blog along with finding other great blogs out there. My experience with meeting other bloggers has been successful in this short period of time. I have already found several other bloggers that I have things in common with and have not really spent a lot of time to find them!

Another feature that I really like about SocialSpark is the advertising opportunities that they have available. After getting your blog approved, you can sign up for several different types of opportunities. One of these opportunities is placing blog sponsorships on your site for a daily charge. I am in the process of researching and bidding on some of these opportunities that fit with my site. I think it is important to keep my advertisements within the theme of the blog and I feel that SocialSpark provides that opportunity. I will provide details to my readers when I add any advertisements to this site as a result of my research with SocialSpark.

Another possible advertising opportunity available is writing a sponsored post and receiving a payment in return. This post that I am writing is in fact a sponsored post. I have a goal to only include advertisements on my site in which I can personally recommend. Because I am a member of SocialSpark, and I would recommend them as a Social Networking site, I have no problem writing a sponsored post promoting their site! I also look forward to writing similar sponsored posts in the future to help generate some extra income from PFI.

The following list of items are part of the SocialSpark Code of Ethics -

  • -100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
